For as long as I can remember, I've lived for that hill at 110th Street in Central Park.  Music blasting in my ears, endorphins rising, the wheels humming smooth against the asphalt as I slip into that perfect velocity rounding the curve. Gravity pulling, the city fading, the night opening up in front of me.

You lean into each turn and let the hill take you. The board beneath your feet becomes less like an object and more like a companion—steady, responsive, alive. Wherever you go, it goes. No hesitation. No resistance. Just trust.

For those few seconds, it’s pure surrender—gravity doing its worst, and somehow that’s exactly what makes it beautiful. The wind rushing past, the lights of the park blurring at the edges, the quiet thrill of speed under a summer sky.

I must have ridden that hill a hundred times. And still, nothing quite compares to those cool summer nights—when the music was loud, the air was soft, not a soul in sight, and the world felt perfectly balanced on four spinning wheels.
